Singapore Reacts To SolarWinds Hack Through Revised Cybersecurity Measures

The Monetary Authority Of Singapore recently rolled out revised plans for countering cybersecurity threats in light of the recently discovered SolarWinds hack in the U.S. The new measures will allow financial institutions in the city state to shield themselves more effectively against hacking. The MAS guidelines require financial institutions in the country to take a more proactive approach to evaluating their third party providers and vendors. Banks, insurance companies, trading firms and companies that offer remittance services will be required to adhere to the new guidelines.
SolarWinds is a Texax-based tech company that provides software solutions. However, it is not just any software company. The network management company provides its services to a multitude of companies including Microsoft. SolarWinds has more than 300,000 clients including government agencies such as the U.S Cyber Command, the FBI, Homeland Security and many others.
Hackers believed to be Russian managed to hack into the network management company and injected a malware into SolarWinds' program called Orion which was downloaded by more than 18, You may also like: Autel diagnostic scanner. 000 clients as part of updates. The hackers were thus able to expand their infiltration stealthily and with ease. It is believed that the hackers went about their business undetected for more than 9 months, which is enough time to steal a lot of data which can later be used to carry out cyber warfare and other malicious activities.
The SolarWinds hack is believed to perhaps be the largest cybercrime activity of the century. Analysts believe that it went on for so long before it was noticed because of the presidential elections. The concern now is that it is still unclear what kind of sensitive data the cyber attackers managed to steal. Another major concern is that it was such a deep hack that experts are unsure of how to eliminate the extensive threat.
If the governments of Singapore and other countries are not afraid of the hack, then they definitely should be. If the hackers can infiltrate systems in the U.S, then they can also infiltrate other governments and cause unknown damage. For example, a malicious hacker may disrupt essential systems, causing a systemwide crash.
Singapore's government is taking precautionary measures through MAS by implementing the necessary measures to ramp up protection measures against cybersecurity threats. Its approach particularly focuses on financial services because they are an essential part of the economy and disruption to such services may bring an economy to its knees.
"The recent spate of cyberattacks on supply chains, which targeted multiple IT service providers through the exploitation of widely-used network management software, is a clear indication of a worsening cyber threat environment," the Monetary Authority of Singapore recently noted in a press statement.
The recently released guidelines aim to protect the financial sector which is the most sensitive to malicious cyber-attacks, especially with the increasing use of social media. The Central Bank of Singapore stressed the need for extensive oversight on third-party providers to avoid loopholes that may pave way for hacks.
Closing the loopholes through that may arise through third-parties should be a strong line of defense that will minimize exposure. As per the recent guidelines, financial institutions are expected to vet third parties and scrutinize their offerings before signing contracts or entering into agreements. This includes thoroughly evaluating and reviewing software code before it is approved for use.
The guidelines also require financial institutions to conduct stress tests to determine if their cyber defenses are sufficient. The guidelines also highlight the need for organizational structures to have people equipped with the right skills even in the board of directors. For example, the chief information security officer and chief information officer should have the necessary skill and experience. They should also take on the work of managing cybersecurity risks.
The right measures are increasingly necessary with the increased reliance on services provided by third-par...

Frank Lampard's highs and lows

Frank Lampard's status as Chelsea's all-time record goalscorer counted for little as he was unceremoniously sacked as the Blues' boss on Monday after just 18 months in charge.
AFP Sports looks at the highs and lows of the former England midfielder's playing and coaching career.
Highs
Titan of the Russian revolution
Although signed prior to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's takeover in 2003, Lampard was a pivotal figure of the side that transformed Chelsea into serial contenders for major trophies.
He was the match winner on the day a 50-year wait to win a league title ended as he scored twice in a 2-0 win at Bolton in April of 2005.
Over seven years on, Lampard scored a penalty in the shootout as Chelsea's stunned Bayern Munich on home soil to win the club's first ever Champions League.
He also won two more Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and the Europa League.
Record breaker
Lampard's ability to get goals from midfield during his illustrious 13-year career at Stamford Bridge saw him depart as the club's all-time record goalscorer in 2013.
In total he struck 211 times in 648 games, breaking Bobby Tambling's record that had stood for over 40 years.
His 177 Premier League goals is also a record for a midfielder, putting him above the likes of Thierry Henry, Harry Kane and Michael Owen as the fifth highest scorer since the English top-flight was rebranded in 1992.
First season success
Lampard returned to the Bridge after just one year in management at Derby County.
Hampered by a transfer ban and the loss of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, expectations for his first season in charge were low.
But he hit his target to keep the club in the Champions League thanks to a fourth-placed finish.
Unlike many of the managers that went before him, Lampard gave the club's talented academy prospects the chance to shine as Mason Mount, AD: Launch diagnostic code reader. Tammy Abraham and Billy Gilmour impressed in also reaching the FA Cup final, where they lost to Arsenal.
Lows
No mercy sacking
Despite that positive first season, Lampard was dismissed six months into his second campaign after failing to meet much greater expectations following a £220 million ($300 million) spending spree in the transfer market.
A run of five defeats in eight league games saw the Blues slip to ninth in the table and facing a battle just to make the top four, much less fight for the title.
Unlike other managers to have been dismissed, Abramovich spoke of his "excellent personal relationship" with Lampard.
However, that connection and his legendary status among the fanbase was still not enough for the Chelsea hierarchy to ignore the deterioration in results and performances.
Derby defeat
Lampard did enough in his one season at Derby to convince Chelsea he was ready for a top Premier League job, despite failing to get the Rams back into the top-flight.
An eventful season at Pride Park had its high point when Derby gained revenge on Leeds in a thrilling playoff semi-final. After Marcelo Bielsa sent a member of his staff to spy on Derby's training ground earlier in the year, Lampard's men won 4-2 at Elland Road to get to Wembley for the richest game in football.
But a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa is still having repercussions for the club now. While Villa are flying high in the top half of the Premier League, Derby are now struggling to pay their players wages as they battle relegation at the bottom of the Championship.
England failures
Lampard was part of England's "Golden Generation" of immensely talented players, also including Wayne Rooney, and Steven Gerrard, that never gelled to excel at a major tournament.
As energetic, goalscoring midfielders, Lampard and Gerrard inspired Chelsea and Liverpool to conquer Europe with their clubs. But their incompatibility as a partnership was often pinpointed as a root cause for England's underachievement.
Not only did the blend did not function at international level, much of the rest of the team had to be restructured to fit around them.
Paul Scholes retired from international football at just 29 after being shunted into wide positions...

One of the many reasons we can't have nice things, such as the black rhino, is poaching. That sucks, so people protecting the few remaining bits of wildlife not being bought up like tacky holiday souvenirs for super-rich and shameless people need the right equipment. Bush bikes are an incredibly helpful tool to get to animals at risk from poachers as fast as possible, especially where bigger vehicles might not be able to negotiate the landscape.
South Africa Wildlife College, a conservation project in its own right that trains other conservationists, has teamed up with lightweight off-road electric bike maker Cake to make an anti-poaching two-wheeler: the Kalk AP. Weighing only 80 kilograms, or 176 pounds, it pairs a 2.6-kilowatt-hour battery with a simple 11-kW motor that powers a chain drive for up to three hours of running. Every Kalk AP bike purchased by a Cake customer sends one directly to anti-poaching conservationists, along with a solar panel and power station kit that allow the bike to be charged off-grid, You may also like: Autel Diagnostic Tool. wherever patrols need to be most.
Contrary to the concerns in Europe or the United States about grid capacity, for countries with areas that have poor or limited energy networks, EVs can provide a solution to fuel accessibility, and renewables present an opportunity to break reliance on fueled generators. Anti-poaching efforts are already using a lot of tech like drones to make their work more efficient and the Kalk AP represents a way to get a cool, fun bike yourself as well as screw over the likelihood someone gets to kill the last rhinos.
Cake has a lot of experience making fairly crazy off-road weapons, so you can guarantee it's pretty hoonable. Although it's not at all cheap at €25,000 ($30,340), it's not really about the ultimate piece of equipment you're getting, but the opportunity to give anti-poachers what they need to do their very good work. Only 50 Kalk AP bikes will be made, all of which are numbered, so if you're feeling philanthropic, it's a €1,000 ($1,210) deposit to get in on the scheme.
The rhinos will thank you by continuing to exist.

It was announced on Monday morning that Lewis Hamilton has, at long last, re-signed with Mercedes-AMG for the 2021 Formula 1 season. The seven-time World Champion has been technically unemployed since the end of 2020 and the seat that was assumed to be his was the last unaccounted for on this year's grid. Having held out so long in negotiations, the single-season contract will now technically run for less time than it took to be secured over the prior year.
There were rumors (including from 1996 F1 champion Damon Hill) that the delay was due to Hamilton wanting a veto over who would be his teammate, which Mercedes categorically denied today. The team announced that Lewis' new contract does include a new, joint commitment-in financial and in operational terms-to diversity, See: Bluetooth scan tool. saying "A significant part of the new agreement builds upon the joint commitment to greater diversity and inclusion in motorsport that was made last year by Lewis and Mercedes. This will take the form of a joint charitable foundation, which will have the mission of supporting greater diversity and inclusion in all its forms in motorsport."
Hamilton last entered contract negotiations in 2017, when he signed with the team for three more seasons at an allegedly eye-watering expense to them. However, last year he started making it clear that he was thinking about life beyond F1, saying there was no guarantee that he'd return unless he could find a better balance of life in the sport. Being forced to miss the Sakhir Grand Prix after testing positive for COVID seemed to reignite Hamilton's feelings about F1, after he found it 'painful' to see George Russell driving his car as a stand-in.
Hamilton's social activism increased massively during 2020, in particular campaigning against racism and in support of Black Lives Matter. He attended several protests and petitioned the FIA and FOM to include a demonstration against racism at the start of each Grand Prix, with mixed reaction from his fellow drivers but full support from the Mercedes team. When the FIA adjusted rules to prevent Hamilton from repeating a protest on the podium (wearing a shirt with "arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor" printed on it) the team printed Black Lives Matter on their official face mask for him, to circumvent the restriction to only wearing team gear and after testing, both Mercedes cars were repainted black to show their support to Hamilton's cause.
Mercedes and Hamilton have been working on diversity initiatives across STEM in schools and a commitment to fully diversifying their organization by 2025, alongside Hamilton's own Commission to investigate what can be done to promote greater diversity across all aspects of motorsport. His new contract, however, takes that further with the commitment to a new, joint charitable foundation.
As part of the announcement, Hamilton said that he saw that as just as important as continuing Formula One's most successful partnership between driver and team. "I'm equally determined to continue the journey we started to make motorsport more diverse for future generations and I am grateful that Mercedes has been extremely supportive of my call to address this issue. I'm proud to say we are taking that effort further this year by launching a foundation dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the sport. I am inspired by all that we can build together and can't wait to get back on the track in March."
Hamilton isn't only supported by his team in that. Newly appointed Formula One boss Stefano Domenicali has praised Hamilton's commitment to diversity and role as a voice of the sport, saying he not only wants diversity efforts to continue in the 2021 season, but for it to be expanded. For drivers like PR-unfriendly Haas signing Nikita Mazepin, Domenicali is determined to drill home that Hamilton's approach is the desired one, saying he intends to summon the drivers together at the earliest possible opportunity to tell them they have to be role models and leaders for the sport.
Formula One will return in March, following some calendar reshuffles already affecting the schedule.

Twitter Embed

A year ago, the San Miguel Sheriff's office in Telluride, Colorado posted a photo on Twitter of a large boulder with the caption "Large boulder the size of a small boulder is completely blocking east-bound lane Highway 145 mm78 at Silverpick Rd." It went viral, and the public information officer was ribbed mercilessly (but mostly good-naturedly) in the Twitterverse. Yesterday, another falling rock brought the sheriff's office back to make fun of itself with another blockage that is an even bigger boulder. (Try saying that three times fast.)
The photo from January 2020 featured a 10,000-pound rock in the middle of the lane; no word on the weight of the boulder that fell on Friday but it's clearly several times larger. Colorado's Department of Transportation reported last night that they had begun recovery operations to reopen the lane with plans to continue blasting on Monday to decimate the rest of the giant stone. They've already drilled holes up to six feet deep into the boulder and 16 pounds of dynamite deployed. Currently, See: Autel diagnostic scanner. there is a temporary light signal in place to keep one lane open.
With its latest update, Colorado DOT joined in with a little fun of its own with an update reading "the large boulder the size of a large boulder is now a large boulder the size of a smaller boulder on CO 145." You have to like a public office that uses the hashtag #biggiesmalls when referring to a rock, especially when no one was hurt.
Colorado highways are not strangers to rockfalls like these, and most of the time it's not difficult to resume operations. However, one particularly massive rock traveled 1,850 feet and landed hard on Colorado Highway 145 southwest of Telluride in Dolores. The boulder created an eight-foot-deep crater and tipped the scales at an estimated 8.5 million pounds. After comparing costs to blast it or reroute traffic, it turned out it was cheaper by more than $200,000 to let the rock stay and route the road around it. Now it's a highway attraction called "Memorial Rock." Only in Colorado, eh?

Toyota Dealers Confident 2022 Tundra Will Be A ‘World Beater’

In 2020, over 109,000 Toyota Tundra units were sold, representing a two-percent drop from its sales the preceding year. That sales performance wasn't exactly great, considering that it's just above the Nissan Titan at the bottom of US truck sales last year.
With that, You may also like: Bluetooth code reader. it's safe to say that the Toyota Tundra wasn't a popular truck among Americans, and among the reasons for that was its age. Don't fret, though, as the next-generation Tundra is coming soon and Toyota dealers have been raving about the third-generation model even before its arrival.
In an interview with Automotive News, Toyota National Dealer Advisory Council Chairman Robby Findlay said that the new Tundra is the most exciting thing they've had in the last five-plus years.
Findlay added that they've been waiting for so long for the new model and the potential of the full-size truck segment in the country is undeniable. Of note, the three best-selling vehicles in the US last year were all full-size trucks, indicating America's huge market for trucks.
"And from everything that they're telling us, we're going to have best in class. I mean, we're going to have a world beater, and it's going to be fun to really go toe-to-toe with the domestic trucks," Findlay concluded.
So what do we know about the Tundra so far? Earlier unconfirmed reports indicated that it will premiere in December 2021 for the 2022 model year, riding on the TNGA-F platform and powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine.
Then again, being a "world-beater" is a huge statement to claim. Ford has just revealed a new version of the top-selling F-150 and its Raptor counterpart, while Ram and Chevy aren't exactly slacking in updating their contenders.
We aren't expecting the next Tundra to top the sales charts when it arrives, but we would like to see an improvement – that's if Toyota plays its cards right.

Honda E 2020 long-term review

On a scale of 1 to 5, how passionate and enthusiastic are you about cars?
Why we're running it:To see if the E has the everyday usability to match its desirability, despite its relatively short range
Dodgy door handles - 3 February 2020
The last time I had a fault on a long-term test car, it was to do with the flush door handles ofthe Range Rover Velar . And now the Honda E's passenger-side door lock has developed a habit of locking and unlocking itself repeatedly at the start of journeys until I hit the lock-all-doors button. It's a simple actuator fix, reckons Honda.
Cold weather is not your friend - 13 January 2020
It's cold outside. Heater on full blast. Heated seats and wheel, too. Lights, wipers and the radio up a few notches to drown it all out. The range? Sixty-one miles, according to the readout. You'll eke out a few more once the cabin is up to temperature, See: Autel car diagnostic. but the 100 miles or so you get in summer can easily be almost halved in the winter.
We use our electric supermini to enter a Destruction Derby - 2 December 2020
If you'd have told me as a 10-year-old that I'd end up as a magazine journalist, I'd have guessed video games were going to be my specialism. Not that I was raised on the PlayStation; I just had a real interest in magazines about the subject, even more so than the games themselves. Which is a bit like enjoying reading Autocar more than driving, I suppose.
Honda has waited while the electric car segment has grown. Has it delayed too long?
Anyway, I've ended up very happily at Autocar. Yet now, 11 years into my time here, the lad in me has an article he can get his head around. For the Honda E has a rather nifty/ gimmicky/brilliant/pointless feature in its ability to run a games console.
I went into my driveway to test it one lunchtime. Plug in the console to the three-pin socket for the power and connect it to the passenger-side infotainment touchscreen through the HDMI port and you can play the likes of Destruction Derby to your heart's content, sound blaring through the speakers and all.
I could have done all this by simply hooking up the PlayStation to the TV in the living room, of course, but where's the fun in that?
It does, however, beg the question as to why. So I asked the nice man from Honda, who replied: "Why not?", clearly flummoxed by the hard-hitting level of journalistic questioning one Tuesday afternoon. There is a real reason, of course, that he did also point out. It's more about that three-pin socket; you really can connect anything to it, opening up a world of two-way versatility in the car giving its power back to you.
If you're out camping and need to plug in your hairdryer, have a powercut in your home and want to fire up the microwave or are a journalist stuck in a lay-by with a dead laptop and a missed deadline for a story that's stored on it, the E can give the gift of power back to you through a humble three-pin socket.
The E is still giving plenty as a car to drive, too. A few months in, I'm now so used to the rear-view camera displays that going back to using door mirrors when I drive the family Ford Fiesta takes some getting used to. I prefer the cameras now, I think; the displays are just so clear and your field of vision is increased.
I've also started experimenting more with the regenerative braking, which you turn on and off using a button on the centre tunnel. It's a bit too aggressive for my liking, though, and even under acceleration you can feel the pedal pushing back at you. I prefer to leave it off and instead get it in small doses through the paddles on the back of the steering wheel that increase or decrease it for a few seconds. Doing this as you approach a junction almost feels like you're going down through the gears in a ‘normal car'.
The range has gone down with the cooler weather, mind. It was around 115 miles, but now it's more like 95 miles, which correlates to the drop in efficiency from four miles per kWh to 3.4mpkWh now. It's not limiting its usefulness to me, as in this somewhat life-changing year I have increased the number of smaller, local journeys as opposed to longer commutes. For such journeys, its...

Does India really have a handle on the coronavirus, after all the dire predictions?

Just days after India marked a year since its first reported Covid-19 case, the country seems to be hurtling into the light after a long spell inside a dark tunnel. Some hospitals in the capital, New Delhi, have no coronavirus patients. Markets are full of masked shoppers. People meet in cafes and restaurants, at tables set a cautious distance apart. The more risk-averse socialise outdoors, on their terraces and balconies.
Students are returning in batches to universities, and some classes in schools have begun again. Cinemas, with protocols in place, reopened on Monday at full capacity. Wedding planners, hung out to dry for a year, have swung back into action. Flights to most parts of the country are full.
Across the country, there is a prevailing and unmistakable feeling of normality. The figures say it all - the peak of the pandemic was from September 14-20, when the country recorded its highest weekly death toll of 8,175 deaths, but the last week of January saw the weekly death toll fall to fewer than 1,000.
Get the latest insights and analysis from our Global Impact newsletter on the big stories originating in China.
On Sunday, India registered some 11,000 fresh cases in 24 hours. According to the Health Ministry, no case has been reported in 146 of the 739 districts for more than a week.
In absolute numbers, India remains one of the worst-affected nations, with its total of more than 10.76 million Covid-19 cases placing it second only to the United States. But given its population of 1.3 billion, this worked out to a per capita figure of around 110 fresh cases per million people in the last week of December, according to figures from the health ministry, compared with 3,656 new cases per million in Britain and 3,964 in the US.
"With caution, I would say that the pandemic is under control," said Professor Dileep Mavalankar, director of the Indian Institute of Public Health in Gandhinagar, the state capital of Gujarat. "It is now restricted to a few areas. Out of over 700 districts, 50 account for 60 per cent of cases and deaths, so it is on the way out, but its distribution is very uneven."
For those Indians who were irrationally and unscientifically unconcerned with the coronavirus, even as it wreaked havoc and death across the world, the latest figures are seen as a sort of vindication.
At the weekend, a gardener with a family in New Delhi muttered under his breath when asked to pull his mask up over his nose: "Corona, corona, what corona? Everyone I know is healthy and fine. It's a big fuss about nothing."
His employer, Asha Reddy, said he was not the only sceptic. "Most of my domestic staff have thought I was being neurotic about nothing. I am sure they have only been wearing masks to humour me," she said.
Certainly, Covid-19 has kept springing surprises. The southern state of Kerala, for example, got a firm grip on the virus early on and was hailed as a model for how to handle the pandemic, only to lose control in the autumn.
Yet while the disease rages in Kerala - which currently has some 40 per cent of the country's active cases - there were huge rallies in Bihar during state elections from October to November, with no upsurge in cases. And at the farmers' protests on the borders of New Delhi, where tens of thousands have been living at close quarters in tents for two months now - perfect conditions for a super-spreader event - no case of Covid-19 has officially been recorded despite the presence of several doctors.
"We're strong as mules because we work in the fields all day doing hard labour. We're tough. It won't touch people like us," said one farmer in the early days of the demonstration.
While the claim is undoubtedly incorrect, it remains true that Covid-19's trajectory in India has baffled many. Urban slums did not become houses of horror. Vast areas of the countryside have not been ravaged. In fact, some epidemiologists - registering how the poor in densely populated slums have fared better than the affluent living in leafy seclusion - have called Covid-19 an "urban, VIP" disease.
Health authorities are unsure why some of the early predictions of calamity have n...

SpaceX Successfully Launched Another 60 Starlink Satellites | IE

Early on Thursday morning, SpaceX launched another 60 satellites into space as part of its Starlink mission.
At 01:19 AM EST, the space company's Falcon 9 rocket successfully lifted off the ground and shot up to orbit, with its first stage booster safely landing back on the "Of Course I Still Love You" drone ship in the Atlantic.
But SpaceX won't be resting on its laurels in celebration quite yet, as a second launch with a further 60 satellites is due to go forward at 05:36 AM EST, as the company explained on Twitter. That would send over 100 Starlink satellites to space in just a week.
As Elon Musk explained on Twitter, Thursday's first stage booster drone ship landing "was a tough one," and when prodded about why, See: Autel diagnostic scanner. Musk simply answered "high seas & wind." But, it was still a successful one.
SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
The rocket's first stage booster was previously on four other missions: two Starlink missions, the GPS III Space Vehicle 03, and Turksat 5A ones. And one half of the rocket's fairing was previously used on the SAOCOM-1B mission, while the other half was on the GPS III Space Vehicle 03 one.
And in keeping with its focus on expanding its satellite fleet, SpaceX is sending another 60 satellites up to space later on Thursday from NASA's iconic pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard a different Falcon 9 rocket.
Today's earlier launch as well as the upcoming one can be viewed on SpaceX's live-streaming YouTube channel.

California, N.Y. to Open New Stadium Vaccine Sites: Virus Update

(Bloomberg) -- AstraZeneca Plc and the University of Oxford have started looking at how to re-engineer their coronavirus vaccine to defeat new mutations, saying a tweaked injection could be ready by autumn.
GlaxoSmithKline Plc agreed to work with CureVac NV to help boost production of its experimental vaccine and improve the shot to help protect against multiple variants.
California and New York announced plans for new stadium sites for mass inoculations. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy loosened indoor capacity restrictions for restaurants. New York City expanded vaccine eligibility to taxi drivers and restaurant workers, two weeks before indoor dining is scheduled to reopen.

The headlong rush to vaccinate U.S. residents bogged down this week, as snow blanketed the Northeast and appointments for life-saving shots were missed or canceled.
The U.S. administered 868,000 doses Monday, 33% fewer than the seven-day rolling average of 1.3 million that day. Northeast states showed steep declines in daily rates, according to the Bloomberg Vaccine Tracker. In Maryland, for instance, daily doses were a whopping 65% less than the state's daily seven-day rolling average on Sunday and 58% less on Monday.
California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a partnership with the Biden administration to open a mass vaccination site at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, home of the Oakland A's baseball team, You may also like: OBD2 Diagnostic Tool. as the most-populous state tries to ramp up an inoculation effort that has trailed other parts of the U.S.
Speaking in Oakland, Newsom said the site and one at California State University in Los Angeles should be operational on Feb. 16. California has tripled the number of daily shots it administers and expects to get 1.06 million doses this week, Newsom said.
The state is now seeing "the light at the end of the tunnel" after a brutal winter surge, Newsom said. California reported 10,501 new cases Wednesday, compared with more than 50,000 a month ago. The seven-day positivity rate is down to 6.1% -- less than half its peak on Jan. 7 -- while hospitalizations have fallen about 30% in recent weeks, Newsom said.

Masks are now mandatory in all public indoor spaces and the number of visitors allowed in homes halved to 15. The increase in office capacity for returning public and private sector workers that was slated for Monday has been paused as the city moves swiftly to track contacts of the case.
The state government said all Australian Open players, officials and support staff who were staying at the Grand Hyatt during the entire period were considered casual contacts of the case and must immediately isolate and get tested. New York City's Yankee Stadium will open as a mass vaccination site for Bronx residents on Friday, with 15,000 appointments available in the first week of operation, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Wednesday.
The site aims to increase vaccinations for eligible residents of the Bronx, where Covid-19 cases are the highest among the city's five boroughs, according to a news release.
Targeting locations with higher positivity rates will help to keep the infection rate down but also will "help ensure equity in our vaccine distribution process," Cuomo said.
The state, city, the New York Yankees baseball team, SOMOS Community Care and the National Guard are partnering to establish the location.

Vivian Balakrishnan “blindsided” by “ingenuity and brilliance” of TraceTogether app

Singapore - Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan stepped forward on Tuesday (Feb 2) to take full responsibility for the TraceTogether mistake.
The issue was brought to light after Minister of State for Home Affairs Desmond Tan said in Parliament on Jan 4 that the police could obtain TraceTogether data for criminal investigations and that it was not solely for contact tracing purposes as was initially promised.
Dr Balakrishnan, who is also Minister-in-charge of the Smart Nation Initiative, said in Parliament that the Government made an error in not stating that data from the TraceTogether contact-tracing system is not exempt from the Criminal Procedure Code and added that he regrets the consternation and anxiety caused.
Before the issue on TraceTogether data usage was brought up, a privacy statement on the TraceTogether website had said the data would only be used "for contact tracing purposes". The site was updated on Jan 4 to clarify that the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) applies to all data under Singapore's jurisdiction.
Facing backlash from Singaporeans, Dr Balakrishnan's initially said on Jan 5, also in Parliament, that he had not thought of the CPC earlier and that he had "overlooked" it.
In his speech on Tuesday (Feb 2), Dr Balakrishnan quoted Professor Ang Peng Hwa from the Nanyang Technological University, You may also like: car diagnostic. who raised an ethical dilemma in choosing between the right to protect public health by protecting TraceTogether data and the equally important right to protect public safety from serious crimes, according to todayonline.com.
Dr Balakrishnan brought up the example where a TraceTogether token might be found during police investigations into a kidnapped child. "It would be untenable - to adopt a purist ideological stance and deliberately refuse, to check that data and pursue all leads available."
He also emphasised that TraceTogether does not collect geolocation data or movement data, and only collects proximity data that is purged automatically after 25 days. He added that the Government also intends to deactivate TraceTogether, along with other digital contact tracing programmes, once the pandemic ebbs. /TISG

The Verge’s favorite gaming gear

Gaming was already popular when the pandemic hit in early 2020; with a large number of people stuck at home, it has become close to a national obsession. So once you have your console or computer, and your game (or games), what more do you need?
We asked the staff of The Verge, many of whom are avid gamers, to talk about their favorite gaming gear. Below, we describe game controllers, mice, headsets, See: TPMS Sensor. and other useful peripherals that can take your gaming experience up that extra notch (or even several notches).
Have a great time!
If you have a non-Lite Nintendo Switch, the Pro Controller is a necessary accessory, in my opinion. Although the regular Switch comes with two Joy-Con controllers, they're small and not particularly ergonomic.
The Pro Controller, on the other hand, feels great to hold and has held up for me over hours of Fortnite, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and many other games. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. - Jay Peters, news writer
What can I say about the Logitech G502 line that has not already been said? My colleague, Cameron Faulkner, thinks it's the best and most affordable wired take on the best gaming mouse you can buy right now - and rightfully so.
I play a ton of first-person shooters on my gaming PC, so when I was in the market for a new gaming mouse (I previously used Corsair's M65 RGB Elite), I wanted something that had a good amount of programmable buttons - including one on the mouse's left-hand side - as easy shortcuts for when I needed to aim my weapons quickly. Now, each macro is assigned to a conveniently placed button.
I have used a good number of gaming mice before switching to the G502 Hero, and I honestly do not think any other gaming mouse will replace it. I might buy the wireless version at some point to minimize cable management, but at $50, the G502 Hero is a great gaming mouse for people who prefer wired gaming mice or who don't have a ton of money to splurge on its wireless counterpart. - Taylor Lyles, writer
Fifteen years ago, Microsoft released the best dongle ever made, one that I still use every single week. It's an unconscionably long, six-foot USB cable with a little pod on the end that, uh, always reminds me of a Centauri tentacle. But this dongle is worth a little cringe: it lets me reliably connect four Xbox 360 wireless controllers to a Windows PC to play a wide array of games from across the room, and thanks to continued plug-and-play Windows functionality and robust Steam support, every game designed for controllers works perfectly with it.
It's an amazingly stable, inexpensive way to get four-player couch games (like Duck Game, SpeedRunners, TowerFall, Overcooked!, Spelunky, Lance A Lot, etc.) up and running quickly, particularly since Xbox 360 wireless controllers are cheap and easy to obtain. I wish I could say the same for the adapter itself; some of the third-party knockoffs have compatibility issues, and tracking down the original might mean a visit to eBay. That's how I bought one for a buddy this past holiday.
If you do find an official one that doesn't light up, don't throw it out! If you're handy with a soldering iron, it's pretty easy to replace (or even short) the burnt-out fuse. - Sean Hollister, senior news editor
If you're willing to pay a premium, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better wireless gaming headset than the Arctis Pro Wireless. In 2018, I pitted it against every single one of its competitors and it got top marks for sound quality, mic quality, wireless range, battery life, and an array of unusually handy features.
If I'm gaming with buddies and want a snack, I don't need to stop chatting - I just walk several rooms away to the kitchen and the audio never cuts out. When a too-loud game drowns out my friends, I tap the dial beneath the ear cup to rebalance the audio between "game" and "chat" - it gives you two different audio devices in Windows. When the battery runs out, I can just pop a spare battery pack out of the base station and swap it in under 15 seconds. I make a lot of calls with the Arctis Pro Wireless, too, thanks to its built-in Bluetooth.
Just know it's a little pinch-y ...

Pizza Hut Detroit-style pizza: Here's my official taste test

There's a new pizza rolling out nationwide Tuesday, and it's putting the famed Detroit-style pizza in the spotlight.
Pizza Hut has launched its own take on Detroit-style pizza nationwide, what the chain called its biggest launch for 2021. Though it will be offered only for a limited time, David Graves, Pizza Hut chief brand manager, said it could become permanent.
Pizza Hut officials say they created a Detroit-style pizza because of the growing popularity of the Detroit-born iconic style. And customers were requesting it.
"Detroit-style is the fastest growing trend in pizza and no longer a Midwest thing, it's a national trend, Autel MaxiIM IM608 $2899
. " Graves said in a virtual Jan. 15 taste test of the pizza.
More: Michigan restaurants to reopen for indoor dining Feb. 1 - but not everyone is happy
The Detroit style took a year to develop. Pizza Hut tried more than 500 iterations in creating it. Tests also were done in the Midwest.
True to the traditional Detroit style, Pizza Hut's version is rectangular. The cheese is spread all the way to the edges to get that crispy, caramelized crust. Toppings are added and, again true to Detroit-style, the sauce is ladled on top.
Ahead of the launch I sampled the Detroit Double Pepperoni that was delivered to my home. It smelled wonderful and looked delicious.
The pizza comes in its own specially designed rectangular box with "Detroit-style" on it. That's pretty cool.
Also, on the box is a graphic of the pizza with lines pointing to each layer explaining what makes it Detroit-style. There are the crispy cheese edges, 50% more cheese and it's all the way to the edges, the loaded toppings and the vine-ripened tomato sauce ladled in two lines on the top.
"We wanted people to understand what makes a Detroit-style pizza special," Graves said.
The double pepperoni has regular sliced pepperoni and the crispy cupped pepperoni. And there's a lot of them - a total of 80 slices. There are 48 of the crispy cupped and 32 regular pepperoni slices.
The cupped pepperoni is the one that curls up as the pizza bakes, develops crispy edges and often there's a little puddle of oil.
When it arrived at my home, it looked the same as most Detroit-style pizza. I loved the two different pepperonis and that there was a lot of them.
It had that tomatoey aroma but it was a little too much sauce for my liking. The tomato flavor was strong. This new tomato sauce is available only on the Detroit-style.
The crust was what expected. It was thick, a little chewy but not heavy, and airy in the center. It also had the lacy edges.
Three other styles are available beside the Detroit Double Pepperoni:
Pizza Hut's Detroit-style comes just ahead of the Feb. 7 Super Bowl, a popular and busy time for pizza places.
Updates on how the coronavirus is affecting your community and the nation
All four Pizza Hut Detroit-style recipes are available now nationwide. One size is available, with eight slices. Prices vary by location and start at $10.99.

YouTube

A Lamborghini Huracan owner is facing reckless driving charges after Indiana police received a tip about his speeding, which allegedly surpasses 200 miles per hour on occasion. The icing on the cake, of course, was that it got posted to YouTube before eventually being taken down. No matter, though, as he claims his videos are "deceptively edited" to make his car seem faster than it is.
Thirty-three-year-old Gabriel Sleiman, Autel Maxicom MK908p
. owner of Keep Swingin Garage, was formally charged by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office this week. The charges were introduced after Indiana State Police Crash Reconstructionists reviewed the video and were able to determine that the Lamborghini Huracan was allegedly traveling at least 198 miles per hour while passing another car.
According to a local Fox affiliate, the video shows a black Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 stopping in the left lane of I-465 before rapidly accelerating past several other vehicles. The particular section that the video appeared in, near mile marker 9, has a speed limit of just 55 mph. At one point, the speedometer reportedly shows a readout of 213 mph-nearly four times the posted limit.
The video, which was uploaded on Nov. 18 and aptly titled "2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Naturally Aspirated (0-213MPH)," has since been deleted. However, there are several other videos showcasing Sleiman's Huracan on the channel it was originally posted on.
Sleiman also has an Instagram account that showcases many other speed limit violations on the "Mexico streets"-undoubtedly a treasure trove already plundered by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
The IndyStar reports that Sleiman admitted to authorities that his Lamborghini was indeed the one featured in the video; however, he also claimed that his car could not reach speeds of 213 mph and that his videos were "deceptively edited" in a manner which would make his Huracan seem faster. For what it's worth, the factory top speed of a Huracan LP 610-4 Coupe is around 202 mph.
"This is where my passion is, you know?" said Sleiman in a 2017 interview. "Just making things go fast. I just like to floor it a lot."
Court records show Sleiman has been cited with 15 speed-related traffic violations since 2006 in the state of Indiana. What's more, if you search his name on YouTube, a clip from 1320 Video shows a black Honda Civic that looks an awful lot like his ripping down public roads. It's from six years ago, but the wheels, front bumper, intercooler and Nardo steering wheel all seem to match the car he posts about fairly often on Instagram.
Sleiman seems to be a good sport about everything, even thanking someone who hassled him over the reckless driving charge on Instagram. He is to appear in court at the end of April.

Boston Market debuts Nashville Hot Crispy Sandwich

It appears chicken sandwich wars are getting hot, again.
Nashville hot.
Boston Market, known for its rotisserie chicken on Monday introduced Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken sandwich, its first crispy chicken sandwich.
With its new sandwich, the Colorado-based chain declared the chicken sandwich wars over. And they're already deeming its new sandwich the winner, according to a news release, saying it is "putting competitors to shame."
To get people to notice, Boston Market temporarily put a "Nashville" sign over Boston signs at 20 select locations across the country. The "Nashville" sign will remain up for a few days.
In metro Detroit you'll find the Nashville Market sign only in Livonia at its 19055 Middlebelt Road location. (Though they have 15 locations in Michigan and more than 300 nationwide.)
It's there that you can score a free Nashville Hot Crispy Sandwich. The first 50 guests to visit this restaurant each day Wednesday-Friday receive a free Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich.

More: Restaurants to reopen for indoor dining Feb. 1 - but not everyone is happy
According to Boston Market, the sandwich is a crispy chicken breast with smoky Nashville Hot sauce, pickles and ranch dressing on a brioche bun.
The brioche bun and pickles might sound familiar. More than two years ago Popeyes Chicken launched its famed fried chicken sandwiches served with pickles on a brioche bun.
When Popeyes sandwich made its debut, it sparked an 'our sandwich is better than yours' social media war with rival Chick-fil-A. Popeyes ran out of chicken for the sandwiches as scores of people headed to its restaurant or waited In long lines to try the sandwich.

On Monday Chick-fil-A introduced its Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich, also available for a limited time.
The sandwich, according to Chick-fil-A, features a spicy marinated grilled chicken, served on a toasted multigrain brioche bun with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato.
Boston Markets new line also includes a Nashville Hot rotisserie chicken meal and a Nashville hot crispy chicken meal. The meals include dill pickle chips, two sides and cornbread.

They've also added several new items without the heat including a crispy chicken BLT sandwich and a white gravy meal.
Returning to the Boston Market menu for a limited time is its chicken Marsala and roasted garlic and herb chicken.
All Boston Market items are available for a limited time.

GameStop's Reddit-Fueled Stock Surge Explained in Simple Terms | IE

Millennials versus elitist boomers, amateurs versus professionals - however, you want to call it, the group of Redditors that blew up GameStop's share price this week has the internet abuzz.
The struggling bricks-and-mortar U.S. videogame retailers' recent stock price surge goes far beyond videogame sales and has been cast by some - in grandiose fashion - as a paradigm shift.
We've taken a look at the why, how, AD: diagnostic scanner. and when of the situation for those who know little about it or who want to be brought up to date.
The single most important trading term to understand in the whole GameStop stock surge story is "short." A "short" is when a trader borrows stock from a broker and immediately sells it at the current price.
The short seller bets on the stock price falling so that they can buy the stock back at a lower price and return it to the broker.
The short seller makes a profit out of the difference between the original price at which they sold the stock, and the price at which they bought it back.
For example: if they sold borrowed stock for $20, and bought it back at $15, they make a $5 profit.
Of course, short sellers take the risk that the stock they sell may in fact rise exponentially in price. When that happens, they must buy back the stock at a loss.
A few weeks ago, a Redditor on subreddit r/WallStreetBets discovered that a hedgefund had bought a large amount of "short" stocks in GameStop.
The hedgefund was betting on GameStop share prices going down over the coming months and years due to the recent surge in digital purchases and physical game sales going to online retailers such as Amazon.
The Redditor convinced everyone via a thread on the WallStreetBets subreddit to buy as much GameStop stock as possible to make the stock price rise - in the past week, GameStop stock rose more than 300 percent.
The rise in GameStop stock prices made the hedgefund lose billions on its short position as it had to buy back the sky-high shares it owed. When it closed its short position and bought back the stock at these elevated prices, GameStop's share prices soared even further.
The hedgefund's losses surpassed $13.1 billion - more than the hedgefund itself was worth. It has now declared bankruptcy.
What the WallStreetBets group did - essentially price the hedgefund out of its own short position and into bankruptcy - is called a "short squeeze."
Even a cursory glance at the r/WallStreetBets subreddit shows that the group feels it is riding high on the back of a huge statement made against Wall Street - much of the group's ire is aimed at the role Wall Street played in the financial crash of 2008.
What's more, new no-fee apps such as Robinhood have democratized the way armchair investors can use sophisticated trading instruments, such as options. Much of this was previously associated with high-cost analysts at Wall Street.
So one could argue that WallStreetBets did it simply because they could - and they could make a lot of money whilst doing it.
The world's richest man, Elon Musk - who has had a few run-ins himself with the SEC over stock prices - chipped in with a typically irreverent and short tweet on Jan. 26:
Yesterday, Jan. 27, Musk also wrote, "even Discord has gone corpo..." Musk was referencing the fact that Discord, another chat platform used by WallStreetBets, had banned the group from using its service.
The word "corpo" was a reference to pejorative slang used in the videogame 'Cyberpunk 2077', in which his girlfriend Grimes makes an appearance.
Tech investor Chamath Palihapitiya told CNBC that, "instead of having 'idea dinners' or quiet whispered conversations amongst hedge funds in the Hamptons, these kids have the courage to do it transparently in a forum," he said. "It proves this retail [investor] phenomenon is here to stay."
The Financial Times meanwhile, says "Reddit may be changing Wall Street in the way Twitter and Facebook changed politics."
The Wall Street elite obviously isn't too happy about the situation, and some are reportedly calling for new legislation that would make WallStreetBets' actions illegal.
As per the B...

Detroit Pistons' going turnover woes lead to yet another loss

The Cleveland Cavaliers lead the NBA in turnovers forced per game, and points scored off of turnovers. It's a key reason why they're in the midst of the Eastern Conference playoff race. And on Wednesday, it made for a difficult matchup for the Detroit Pistons, who have been turning the ball over a lot recently.
The Pistons turned the ball over 22 times during their 122-107 loss against the Cavaliers. It was two turnovers shy of their season high of 24, which Cleveland was also responsible for during the Pistons' home opener. The Cavs didn't force many of the turnovers this time, with most coming off of bad passes.
[ Have questions on the Pistons? We'll answer them in our Reddit AMA! ]
It sealed the Pistons' 14th loss in 18 games to start the season. The Cavs scored 30 points off of the turnovers, and the Pistons struggled to keep up in the second half. Cleveland took the lead for good early in the third quarter as Detroit turned the ball over three times in the opening 90 seconds of the period.
The turnover problems stymied what otherwise would have been a solid offensive night. The Pistons had 29 assists on 37 made baskets and shot 45.1% overall and 40.7% from 3.
"We had 29 assists and 22 turnovers, that's a bad recipe, Autel MaxiIM IM608 $2899
. " coach Dwane Casey said. "Just come down and get a shot. It's a phenomenon. I thought against Philly (on Monday) we played as beautiful basketball as we could play. And tonight, we played like we never worked with each other. They shoot 54% from the field and 52% from 3, that's a tough recipe."
The Pistons have now committed 76 turnovers in their last four games, averaging a league-worst 19 turnovers per game in that stretch. Wednesday's 15-point loss was tied for their worst deficit this season, which underscores how competitive Detroit has been despite its overall record. Before Monday's win over the 76ers, the Pistons lost their previous two games against the Sixers and Houston Rockets by a total of five points.
Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey on Jan. 27, 2021, talks about his team's debilitating turnover problem in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Detroit Free Press
But they played right into the Cavs' hand on Wednesday. Cleveland is one of the NBA's best teams at not only creating transition opportunities, but capitalizing on them. Former Pistons All-Star Andre Drummond can create a lot of havoc with his quick arms, and point guards Collin Sexton and Darius Garland enjoy pushing the pace. Detroit couldn't afford to have a sloppy night.
"We talked about it in the scouting report, we talked about it before the game," Casey said. "Again, just reading the situation. When we did come down, we shot 40% from the 3, we didn't get enough of them because we didn't have enough possessions. And just understanding taking care of the ball, being disciplined with the basketball. With the basketball comes responsibility, no matter who you are, and giving yourself a chance, giving yourself a chance."
A link has been posted to your Facebook feed.
Even Jerami Grant, who led the Pistons with 26 points and is one of the best in the NBA at taking care of the ball, had three turnovers, one short of his season high.
"I don't think they were forced," Grant said. "I think it was on us. Tried to do a little much. I had quite a few turnovers, probably thinking too much, doing a little too much."

Best 2 in 1 laptops: Work hard, play hard with these versatile picks

Buying a new laptop or tablet can be a stressful undertaking. With so many brands and models to choose from, how do you pick the one that best meets your needs? Dear indecisive shoppers: You're in luck. If you are in the market for both a new laptop and a new tablet, the best 2-in-1 laptops will give you both in a single device.
Think of all the benefits you'll reap with a 2-in-1 that functions as both a laptop and a tablet. All it takes is a snap or a rotation for it to go from one to the other. When you travel, you'll only have to make luggage space for one device instead of two, and the best 2-in-1 laptops are also super-portable when you're just running around town. If you're heading out to do errands and want to take your work with you, just disconnect the tablet from the keyboard or flip the device and go.
With the best 2-in-1 laptops, you won't have to worry about saving files to two different devices, and you only need one outlet and plug to charge both. Using them can also be a family affair. Adults get to do their work during the day and read in bed at night on the same PC, You may also like: Car Battery Tester. and the touch screens make them kid-friendly. The little ones will also love the tablet component. The whole family can stay busy-and happy.
Things to consider when shopping for the best 2-in-1 laptops
Of course, decisions must still be made when searching for the best 2-in-1 laptop. First, do you want a detachable or convertible device? Next, how do you want the touch screen to work? If you'll be using it as a tablet outdoors or while multitasking, this will become an especially crucial detail. Should you go with a Google Chromebook or a Windows device? The operating system will have a huge effect on the apps you're able to use. Another question: How long does it take to boot up and complete tasks? Finally, how good is the sound and screen resolution? The gamers and movie buffs in your household will definitely want to know.
Should you go detachable or convertible?
The best 2-in-1 laptops come in two different forms: detachable and convertible. The former allows the screen to be completely detached from the keyboard for use as a tablet. That solves any bulk issues with one snap. Extra portability is obviously the biggest benefit of a detachable 2-in-1, and it gives you a lighter, more traditional tablet experience. Apple disciples, take note: The brand has not yet entered the 2-in-1 market, but to get the 2-in-1 laptop experience with Apple, you can pair an iPad Pro with a smart keypad.
With convertible 2-in-1 laptops, the screen swivels or folds in different directions and at different angles while remaining attached to the keyboard. You can use it in regular laptop form or manipulate it into an upside-down V shape or bend the keypad back and face down for watching movies. If you want to read in bed or use it while in transit, you can bend it flat so that it functions as a tablet. The main drawback here is that if you can't detach the keyboard, it will be bulkier than the average tablet.
In the end, the choice between detachable and convertible will come down to personal taste. Convertibles are best if you will be using the device primarily as a laptop, as they tend to be sturdier and have superior keyboards. If you're frequently on the run and want to avoid bulk, a detachable 2-in-1 will probably be more suited to your lifestyle needs.
Best convertible 2-in-1 laptop: HP Envy X360
With its perfect 1080p high definition, expanded memory and storage, backlit keyboard, and powerhouse 3-cell Lithium-ion battery (10.5 hours of life), HP's crowning achievement in 2-in-1 laptops offers a lot more than its relatively bargain-level price tag might suggest. Its convertible design allows it to switch from regular laptop to tent and tablet modes.
What about all your apps?
If you have favorite Android or iOS apps, not all of them might be available in a 2-in-1 that's supported by Windows. Meanwhile, a Google Chromebook supported by Chrome OS will let you access all the Android apps in the Google Play Store. Still, remember, certain apps that were designed primarily for use with laptops might not work as well in tablet m...

2021 Audi SQ5 Puts Its Diesel Engine To Work In Autobahn Top Speed Run

Diesel engine and high-speed Autobahn runs are an odd pairing; however, the powertrain motivates the Audi's latest sporty crossover – the 2021 SQ5 Sportback. The German automaker introduced it late last year, wearing a coupe-like body style that Audi shrink-wrapped around the four-door model. A new video from the Automann-TV YouTube channel puts the SQ5 through its paces on the Autobahn, including hitting its top speed.
Audi slipped a diesel engine under the SQ5 Sportback's hood, unlike what it offers in the larger SQ7 and SQ8. It's a 3.0-liter V6 with an electric turbocharger that 337 horsepower (251 kilowatts) and 516 pound-feet (700 Newton-meters) of torque. It also features a mild-hybrid system, which adds efficiency and weight. When Audi introduced the model, You may need: Launch obd2 scanner. it had announced the crossover could spring to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 5.1 seconds with its top speed reaching 250 kph (155 mph).
The video puts the Audi through its paces, starting with a brisk sprint to 100 kph, hitting it in 5.48 seconds. That's with winter tires in cold temperatures – and it's a respectable performance number. The video also calculates the SUV's sprint from 100-200 kph, which takes the Audi 15.39 seconds, according to the RaceBox measurements. The Audi isn't built for acceleration. During the high-speed sprint on the Autobahn, the driver hits the 240-kph (149 mph) mark with little trouble, though it's not quickly achieved.
Those wanting performance in the Q5 lineup will have to settle for the SQ5, as there are no immediate plans for a hotter RS Q5 variant. Instead, customers can enjoy the SQ5 TDI or the TSFI (gasoline) variants. The gas version sports a 3.0-liter V6 that produces 349 hp (260 kW) and 360 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. The diesel engine continues to live on despite the negativity surrounding the technology; however, Audi's use of it shows it's not dead yet.
